Parachute Software is also responsible for developing and supporting the software to manage Canada’s Vehicle Recycling Program – Retire Your Ride. Retire Your Ride is a $92M program that aims to recycle 150,000 vehicles from Canada’s roads over 3 years. Much like utility conservation programs, the requirements for the system included the ability for participants to apply online, and select from a number of different incentive options. From the processing side, the call centre needs to manage a workflow for each participant, which includes a number of 3rd parties that collaborate through the web-based platform. A number of detailed reports can be extracted from the system, including the ability to view participation rates, and the ability to calculate emission reduction values based on complex data calculations. Within the scope of this work, a number of integrations to external systems were required, which have been seamlessly developed by Parachute Software, based on the open and extensible nature of the software design.

Parachute Software has been evolving a software solution for conservation programs for over five years. The system is based on modern technologies with a SQL Server Database and C#.NET programming and has many configurable components to allow for end user administration. Parachute Software has a strong competency in building Web Service integrations to third party systems, and has a flexible and robust framework for reporting.
